CAS Hello Friend

Happy Monday! It's Cold and Sunny here in Aberdeen today, the perfect weather for a Clean and Simple card I think!

This card was designed for the CAS Colour and Sketch challenge #254 - Sketch.

I used the stamp set Hello Friend, which is in the Annual Catalogue as the co-ordinating stamp set for the Hello Friend Heat Embossing Project Kit. I don't have the kit yet but I loved the stamp set so purchased it separately. The large 'hello' is such a usefully stamp to have.

Stampin' Up!_Hello Friend_Stampin' Up! UK

Do you ever look at a word for so long that it starts to look, well, wrong?! That's what's being happening to me with the FRIEND stamp on this card! It doesn't look like a proper word anymore 😂

I kept the colour scheme quite muted on the card as I think that suits the Clean And Simple style. I have managed to sneak in my favourite ever colour, Night of Navy, for the 'FRIEND' stamp and used Island Indigo for the 'HELLO', the patterned background on the lower half of the card is Soft Sky. This was my first time using the rhinestone jewels and I really like what they add to the card.

Remember that we're in Sale-A-Bration just now, and I've totalled up the cost of the supplies for this card, and it takes you to just over the £45 spend that you need to earn a FREE Level 1 SAB item, which one will you choose? I think Party Pandas is next on my list 😍

3 x ink pads = £18
rhinestone jewels = £4.50
neutrals A4 cardstock = £7.25
Hello Friend Clear Mount = £19
Snail Adhesive = = £6.25

TOTAL = £55. You earn 1 FREE Level 1 SAB item 😁😁😁

Happy New Year with Amazing You

Happy New Year! How are your resolutions going? I have a long, long list of things that I'd like t accomplish this year; crafting and blogging more often and more consistently being two things that are pretty near the top of that list!
I've been working on squeezing crafting in where and when I can, 20 minutes in the morning with a cup of coffee, a quick half hour when the youngest naps another half hour before bed instead of scrolling through Facebook! I've actually managed to get more done so far this year than almost all of last year combined already 🙈😂
Blogging seems to take a bit more work for me though, so I'm hoping to do more challenges this year as a way of encouraging me to blog more regularly and hopefully as the year progresses, I'll get a bit better, and quicker!, at writing and publishing posts!

So, here is my entry for #TGIFC141, a colour challenge using Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Fresh Fig.

Sale-A-Bration | Amazing You | Stampin' Up! UK

I have kept the card quite Clean & Simple and have just let the colours and the stamps do the talking :) The stamps are from the Sale-A-Bration set Amazing You and you can get them for FREE when you spend £45 with me! The other items used to make this card total £50.25, so buy the ink, paper, adhesive and embossing powder and get the stamp set for nothing.

Thanks for stopping by, and please let me know what is top of your resolution list this year!

Hearts Come Home CAS#240

The Hearts Come Home stamp set was one of the first items from the AW catalogue on my pre order list, I love the little houses (perfect for 'new home' cards too!), the wee flying Santa and his reindeers and the gorgeous sentiments! The matching dies are amazing as well and I've seen so many great fancy folds cards made with them, I've added one to my to do list this weekend :) Check out the Stamp and Die bundle to save 10%.

When I saw the CAS #240 Sketch I thought the stamp set would suit the sketch pretty well. I also knew that I wanted to use the Shimmery White cardstock as the base for the water colouring, it really adds a beautiful subtle shimmer to your projects.

As always, one of my cards wouldn't be complete with out some heat embossing 😁 I think gold and Night of Navy is such a classy colour combo for Christmas, what do you think?

Glitter embossed Good Wishes

My cards today use a couple of the new items from the Autumn/Winter catalogue along with the Emerald Envy & Real Red Embossing Powders which are currently in the Clearance Rack, they're reduced to £2.20 a pot and each pot lasts f.o.r.e.v.e.r so I'd grab them while you still can!

Stampin' Up! UK | Every Good Wish

I just adore the watercolour look, so I was delighted when I saw the Every Good Wish stamp set in the new seasonal, it has two watercolour effect sentiment stamps which lend themselves very well to some nice quick and easy Christmas cards. They are the perfect size for some 3"x3" cards and you'll also find new 3"x3" envelopes in the AW seasonal! What a time saver they'll be this Christmas!

You obviously lose a bit of the watercolour effect when using the glitter embossing powder but I think you cant really go wrong with a bit of sparkle at Christmas time!
